Meet the Editors | Spotlight: Angela
January 9, 2017
Angela is a word nerd. She likes reading, creative writing, and editing, so if there are words involved, you can probably get her interested. She went to BYU and graduated with a degree in English Language with a minor in editing and a minor in visual arts. The visual arts part was just for fun since she likes to dabble with drawing and other crafty things.
She dabbles in a lot of things—running (she did a half marathon just to see if she could), playing the violin, and learning languages. She knows a smattering of Spanish, ASL, and Korean. Cooking is also high on her interest list. It started out of necessity since eating things with processed sugars gives her headaches, but she loves cooking now. In high school she had her own little one-man baking business to earn money for college.
Angela is married and will be having a baby at the end of March. We’re so excited for her!
Facts About Angela
Where are you from?
I was born in Indiana, but I’ve lived in eight different states. I graduated high school in Arizona and my parents still live there, so that’s what I normally claim.
Do you consider yourself an extrovert or introvert?
Depends on my mood.
What is your spirit animal?
A unicorn. I’ve never done a test on it, but they are cool. Why be normal, right?
If you could choose your last meal, what would it be?
Chicken fried steak, fried potatoes, asparagus, and strawberry cheesecake. If I could fit sushi in there somewhere, I probably would.
What band/musical artist could you listen to for hours straight?
What is your favorite (or one of your favorite) fandom(s)?
Hard to say. Maybe kdramas in general?
What is the nicest thing anyone’s done for you?
The first time I had a migraine as a kid, I was so bored since I couldn’t read or watch TV without even worse pain. My mom read a book out loud quietly all afternoon for me.
What is the next item you plan to cross off your bucket list?
Write a novel. It’s my goal to finish the first draft by March this year. I’ve already written half of it.
What’s your favorite Disney Movie?
Pollyana. She never lets things get her down and keeps moving forward.
