Springtime-Themed Haiku Contest Winners

April 17, 2018

Thank you all for participating in our haiku contest! We’ll contact the winners today through email about their prizes. And without further ado, the winners are . . .

Winner: Katie Pike Brooks

Runner-Up: Sarah Thomas

Runner-Up: Samuel Hedley

Read the winning haikus!

“Drop Dead” by Katie Pike Brooks

My tree needs to learn:
Before she can birth blossoms,
She must drop dead leaves.

“Rain” by Sarah Thomas

Soft spring teardrops fall.
Does nature mourn past seasons?
Quiet rain says yes.

“Snowdrops” by Samuel Hedley

Leftover winter
cannot suppress all the life
in the young flowers.

Thanks to everyone who participated! In the meantime, hang tight for our upcoming monthly contests. What kinds of contests should we host in the future? We are also open to ideas and suggestions.
